Mountain Farmers Federation “Dorna”
Description
FAMD started its activities as a Romanian NGO in 1993. Its main objective is to support the development of the rural mountain economy. Fields of activities are Rural development, community development, Micro-enterprise development, Agro-ecology, Agro-tourism.
Experience
FAMD has extensive experience in rural development, farmer trainings, marketing of products as well as establishment of milk processing units. More than 20 projects with budgets from 15,000 € to 500,000 have been developed in this field http://www.famdorna.ro/proiecte.php among which several have been cofinanced by SDC.
